Pilgrimage Memories Jerusalem & Palm Sunday 2023

Welcome to the sacred pilgrimage journal of Alpha Travel & Tour LLC.

This page preserves the beautifully blessed moments when our pilgrim group was honored to walk in the very footsteps of Jesus in the Holy Land of Jerusalem. From the overwhelming emotion of celebrating the Easter Mass right at the Holy Sepulcher and the solemn moments of prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, to the joyful path retracing Palm Sunday on the Mount of Olives.

Easter Mass at The Holy Sepulcher

This is the Easter Vietnamese Mass Procession in Jesus’ Tomb at The Holy Sepulcher. On our Pilgrimages hosted by Viet Catholic Tour and Alpha Tour LLC, we are truly blessed to have the opportunity to celebrate Mass in this Holy Site.

The Walk Through Jaffa’s Gate to Golgotha

Come join us as we traverse Jerusalem, walking through Jaffa’s Gate to the corridors of the city’s bazaar, finally arriving at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We reflect upon holy artifacts, including Golgotha where Jesus was crucified. We then visit the Tomb of Jesus, where He laid to rest and arose on Easter Sunday. Afterwards, we bless our religious artifacts at the entrance of the church.

The Garden of Gethsemane

We walk from the Lion’s Gate of Temple Mount towards the Garden of Gethsemane. It was in this very garden that Jesus prayed after The Last Supper and was betrayed by Judas. Alongside the garden sits the Church of All Nations (Kirche aller Nationen), built over the rock where Jesus prayed in agony. This short, scenic walk offers beautiful views of the Mount of Olives, the area from which Jesus triumphantly entered Jerusalem.

Retracing Palm Sunday

On this special occasion, the group traces the exact steps of Jesus walking into Jerusalem. Starting at the top of the Mount of Olives, we pass notable sites such as the Pater Noster Church, Chapel of the Ascension, Church of Mary Magdalene, and the Church of All Nations. The group finishes their walk at the Lion’s Gate at Temple Mount, warmly welcomed by the lively tunes of a local marching band.
