DIVINE MERCY & ST. FAUSTINA PILGRIMAGE 2026

“A Journey of Healing – Returning to the Source of Love”

Dear Valued Pilgrims,

Amidst the busyness and trials of modern life, every soul yearns for a haven of peace. Originating from the historic city of Krakow, Poland, the message of Divine Mercy has spread across the globe, bringing hope and salvation to humanity.

Desiring to accompany you on the path of strengthening your Faith, Alpha Travel is honored to organize the Catholic Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Divine Mercy & St. Faustina 2026. This is not merely an Eastern European sightseeing tour, but a spiritual procession where our footsteps and hearts beat in unison with the loving heartbeat of Jesus.

1. KRAKOW: THE HEART OF DIVINE MERCY

(The Heart of Divine Mercy)

The most significant highlight and the soul of the entire journey is the city of Krakow, where the message of Mercy was given to the world through a humble nun.

The Shrine of Divine Mercy (Łagiewniki)

Upon arriving in Łagiewniki, a suburb of Krakow, you will immediately feel an overarching atmosphere of holiness. This is where St. Faustina Kowalska lived the final years of her life and received great revelations from Jesus.

  • Veneration of St. Faustina’s Tomb: We will kneel together in prayer by the relics of the Apostle of Divine Mercy, asking for her intercession for our families and loved ones.
  • The Original Divine Mercy Image: You will have the opportunity to venerate the famous painting with the two rays of Red and Pale (representing Blood and Water) gushing forth from the Sacred Heart, along with the iconic inscription: “Jesus, I trust in You.”
  • Holy Mass Celebration: Our group’s Spiritual Director will celebrate a Solemn Mass right at the Shrine. Praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy together at 3:00 PM – the Hour of Great Mercy – will be a moment that touches the deepest layers of the soul, offering profound Spiritual Healing.

St. John Paul II Sanctuary

Located very close to the Shrine of St. Faustina is the center dedicated to the great Polish Pope. It houses the blood-stained cassock he wore during the 1981 assassination attempt, a powerful testament to the Blessed Mother’s protection and a profound symbol of forgiveness rooted in Divine Mercy.

2. CZESTOCHOWA: UNDER THE MANTLE OF THE MERCIFUL MOTHER

(Under the Mantle of the Black Madonna)

A journey of Faith in Poland would not be complete without the presence of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The group will depart Krakow and head to the Jasna Gora Monastery in the city of Czestochowa – the spiritual capital of Poland.

The Miracle of the Black Madonna

Having survived centuries of wars and fires, the miraculous icon of the Black Madonna of Czestochowa remains a profound mystery. The two slashes on Mary’s face are historical scars, yet her gaze remains forever gentle, understanding all the sorrows of humanity.

  • Millions of pilgrims from all over the world flock here to experience this Catholic Pilgrimage. Many even walk on their knees from the monastery gates to Mary’s altar in thanksgiving.
  • Here, you will have quiet time to silently offer your anxieties and illnesses to the Blessed Mother, asking her to guide your path to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

3. WADOWICE: THE HOMETOWN OF THE POPE OF MERCY

(Birthplace of St. John Paul II)

To truly understand the immense love that Pope St. John Paul II had for Divine Mercy, we must return to the place where he was born.

The Childhood Footsteps of Karol Wojtyła

The peaceful small town of Wadowice, nestled near the Beskidy Mountains, will take you back in time.

  • Museum of the Holy Father John Paul II Family Home: Explore the modest apartment where young Karol Wojtyła grew up, witnessing the sacred memorabilia associated with his childhood, priestly vocation, and Papacy.
  • Basilica of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary: The parish church right next to his home, where he was baptized. You will offer prayers of thanksgiving to God for gifting the Church such a great Saint – the one who established Divine Mercy Sunday for the universal Church.
  • Taste the Kremówka: Do not forget to taste the traditional cream papal cake (Kremówka) – the beloved childhood pastry of the Holy Father.

4. WHY IS THIS PILGRIMAGE AN INVALUABLE EXPERIENCE?

(Why This Pilgrimage is Invaluable)

Unlike standard European sightseeing tours, Alpha Travel’s Divine Mercy Pilgrimage is designed with the utmost care for liturgy and pastoral needs:

  1. Spiritual Accompaniment: The journey always features the presence of a Spiritual Director (Chaplain). Daily Mass is celebrated at basilicas, along with Eucharistic Adoration, processions, and opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
  2. Deep Historical Exploration: Beyond pilgrimage sites, the group will visit the Auschwitz Concentration Camp – where St. Maximilian Kolbe sacrificed his life to save a fellow prisoner, a great testament to love amidst dark imprisonment. We will also explore the spectacular Wieliczka Salt Mine, carved by miners since the 13th century.
  3. International Standard Services: The all-inclusive tour price covers round-trip airfare from the USA, stays at 4-5 star hotels, comfortable motorcoaches, and meals featuring authentic local culture.
  4. Dedicated Care: The itinerary is well-balanced with a reasonable pace, specifically tailored to the health and comfort of our senior pilgrims.

Let 2026 become a pivotal milestone of Faith in your life. The fountain of Divine Mercy is still flowing, waiting for you to come and draw graces and peace.

“Jesus, I trust in You!”
